It's my first week schedule in Miami. It may be helpful for newcomers.

Day1: Arrive Miami at 6:20, look for apartment, know neighborhood primarily

Day2: Sign the leasing contract, open a bank account, apply for electronic power, phone connecting, and Taiwan drive license certificate.

Day3: Pay the first month rent, pick up my ATM card, pay the deposits of phone and power(If having no SSN, deposit is required.) , prepare for drive test(study hard)

Day4: Attend drive test(get up early), check-in in ISS of UM and apply for canecard, buy mattress

Day5: Look for secondhand car(believe me, it takes time.), shop in mall

Day6: Keep selecting car and buy one(including inssurance), change my drive license(take notice of whether your whole name is right, including the dash), have dinner in Miami downtown

Day7: Pick up temporary checkcard, shop in chinese and western marts

If you want, you can apply for cable or direct TV.
