Alex 您好，
車的問題是看個人需求，不一定沒有車就不行，
像有些人是搭乘Metro上下學，而有些人是住離學校近的地方，
不過對我來說，有車子讓我做某些事情時方便不少。
至於車錢價格，二手車兩三千到一萬多都有，
買便宜的車不見得就有問題，但承擔的風險總感覺大了一些，
所以．．．一切都看你自己的選擇囉！

alex.... coming from somebody who just got here last semester... i really believe you should let your living location define your need for a car.... if you live a couple of blocks next to school, you might do good with a bike... however, having a car is definitely a plus when u need to go shopping and all that... also... you need to take into consideration insurance costs.... having a second hand car doesn't mean savings, cause insurance usually sky rocket when the car is too old... your best bet would be buying a second hand car that is no more than 6 years old.... insurance costs an arm and a leg depending on your car, so you should definitely find out before you decide... check some websites... progressive.com, geico.com, allstate.com.... shop around and then decide....
